ERS- Clinical-Research Grant
In cooperation with the Foundation of Rhinology and Facial Plastic Surgery (RhiPla-Stiftung Ulm, Germany) the European Rhinologic Society offers financial support for clinical research in the field of rhinology. There is an increasing demand for evidence based results of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, in particular surgical interventions. It is for this reason that a new grant specifically aimed at high quality randomised controlled trials in all areas of rhinology including surgery of the nose, sinuses and anterior skull base is offered.
The support amounts to 10,000 euro in a 2-years-period.
This can be used for equipment, material or personal. A preliminary report is asked after 1 year, a final report after 2 years. An oral report must be presented at the bi-annual ERS-Congress.
Applicants should be ENT-specialists (age- limit 45 years) and members of ERS. Applications should be made by email and have to include:
-CV and scientific background including former publications and grants
-Affiliation and details of present members and disciplines of the research-group
-Letter of recommendation by head of department
-Title, concept and goals of the planned research-project and use of the grant
Please send applications with the documents by email to:
Margalith van Huiden, secretary of the ERS
